Class 1 Final Photo Shoot
A picture speaks a thousand words. Nearing graduation at TDA students embarked on a magnificent Final Project. After carefully planning their models hair and makeup, theme and preparatory work, they shot 1,400 photos in 2 days. Their work is now caught on camera and one thing is discovered for sure- the talent, precision and artistry are that of a True Professional.

MAC Field Trip
We took our students on a field trip to M.A.C. to get makeovers. We had an absolute blast! This is only one of many exciting events our students get to participate in!

Art Program at Lynn Vale
A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. A specialized art program at Lynn Vale studios begins our students journey to success. Renowned architecht and artist Lou Gagnon is the instructor that shows our students through art that nothing is impossible.

Above and Beyond Marbles
We have a marble jar called the "Above and Beyond Marbles Jar" that we use to treat our students. At the end of each day, students are awarded marbles if they have done something outstanding that day. The teachers can award students marbles, but students can award other students marbles as well for their help. Students can earn marbles in various ways, such as helping out other students, doing well on a test or offering to help do extra clean-up duties at the end of the day. The student who recieves marbles reaches into a jar of marbles and grabs as many as they can, and then drops those marbles into the Above and Beyond jar. Once the jar is full, the students are given a special treat- check out all of the fun things our students earned from the marble jar!

Hair and Fashion Show at Forest Park High School
Our girls traveled to Forest Park High School to do the hair and make-up for their Prom Fashion Show. Take a look at the beautiful work they did for the models!

Behind the Scenes at an Industry Hair Show

Yoga
As cosmetologists, it's important to constantly train our minds and our bodies. Spending several hours holding your arms up while doing hair can take a toll on strength and run you down quickly. We practice yoga stretches specific to our needs to keep our bodies as healthy as our minds.

FXB Fashion Show
Our students did a fashion show at the Palimar Hotel in Washington, D.C. for a charity event called FXB to raise money for hungry children. Check out the behind the scenes pictures and pictures from the runway at this awesome show!

Hands-On Cutting Class with Wayne Grund
World renowned hairstylist Wayne Grund came to TDA to teach our students and staff from the Tranquility Day Spa & Salons, as well as other stylists in the greater Washington D.C. area, the latest cuts of the season. This class is a feature of Tranquility Design Academy that makes TDA the fabulous school that it is!
